Due to the relocation of our external warehouse the books and doctoral dissertations stored there, as well as the entire stock of the library's periodicals, will be unavailable until the beginning of January 2025. Many of our books are still available for loan and current literature can be found on the open shelves.

Autumn Festival of Museums in our library

In the frame of the Autumn Festival of Museums, between the 14th of October 2024 and the 10th of November 2024, we invite all science and book lovers to take part in our programmes and visit our exhibition entitled Nine universities, one project – CHARM-EU (Exhibition).

Our guests can take part in interactive guided tours of the Eötvös exhibition, as well as guided tours of the restoration workshop and the library history. Our book presentations will give you an insight into the special treasures of our library. All visitors are welcome!

Guided by our restorer, guests can get a taste of paper-casting and bookbinding techniques. They will learn about the process of book disinfection and old bookbinding techniques.

Nine universities, one project – CHARM-EU (Exhibition)

CHARM-EU (Challenge-driven, Accessible, Research-based, Mobile European University) is an innovative European university alliance that aims to reshape higher education through transnational collaboration. Formed by five founding universities, CHARM-EU emphasizes interdisciplinary and challenge-based learning, particularly focusing on sustainability and global environmental and societal challenges. One of the main achievements of the alliance is a unique Master’s programme, through which CHARM-EU has been able to develop and pilot innovative methodological and technological solutions, promoting international mobility and integrating diverse educational approaches to foster a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment. Our exhibition will give visitors a glimpse of our publications related to the nine universities. All visitors are welcome!

The exhibition is available on weekdays between 10.00 and 15.00. Registration is possible at titkarsag@lib.elte.hu.
