Use of library computers is free. The computers located in the community space on the ground floor can be used freely, without restrictions, if there is no event in the room. Computers can be unlocked with the username and password posted in the room. It is possible to borrow a notebook for on-site use (only in the building) at the ground floor information desk.
The devices located in the first-floor reading rooms and reserved primarily for university lecturers, researchers, and students can be unlocked using the user’s library card/student ID card number and the associated password (by default, the user’s date of birth). In order to ensure the continuous availability of these devices a reader can only use them for 2 hours in total during a day. The 2 hour window may be divided indefinitely into shorter periods of time, each starting with a new login, and may also be used on multiple devices.
From the computers at the reading rooms you can access
- doctoral dissertations through ELTE Thesis Repository;
- databases purchased by the University;
- and the copyrighted content that were made available through the ELTE Library Browser.
Computers located in the rental room ensure the search in the catalogue and database. All registered readers are free to use the standing terminal in the Lobby primarly for printing.
