Save a book, adopt it! Our volume presented in July is the „Rex admirabilis […]” (Admirable king…) is the versified life of St. Ladislaus of Hungary (r. 1077–1095) in 50 eulogies by István Tarnóczy, which is one of the highlights of the book adoption program of the University Library Foundation.

On the 12th of June 2023, the ELTE University Library Service's K21 Quality Management Coordination Committee's Accessible Library Working Group organized a successful awareness-raising and sensitization training on autism for ELTE librarians at the Ecseri Road building of the Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Education.

We are happy to announce that the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) has accepted the application of the journal Dissertationes Archaeologicae ex Instituto Archaeologico Universitatis de Rolando Eötvös nominatae to the Scopus database and will start indexing it. The journal is archived in ELTE EDIT repository, and it is an „MTMT Qualified Journal” from 2023.

The ELTE University Library and Archives is launching an online information session for editors of ELTE journals on how to increase the international visibility of their journals. The following topics are included in the planned programme: strategies for meeting journal indexing criteria, recommendation for the order of database registrations, presentation of an online self-checking spreadsheet summarising the criteria for selecting journals for inclusion in databases, ethical publishing, authorship issues.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, in 1773, Pope Clement XIII dissolved the Jesuit order, accelerating the process of the university's transfer to the state. Between 1635 and 1773, many distinguished Jesuits of great knowledge taught at our university, leaving a lasting mark on the history of the institution. In April our feature is on the editor of the first Hungarian Law Library (Corpus Iuris Hungarici), Márton Szentiványi.
