The origins of Századvég Publishing go back to 1985, when the very first issue of the Századvég journal appeared. A few years later, the Publisher was formed from the journal, becoming one of the country's premier social and political science publishers over the past three decades. Its annually expanding range includes works by both domestic and foreign authors in the fields of history, political science, sociology, and philosophy. It strives to enrich the world of Hungarian book publishing with gap-filling works in all areas, from the history of various media, theater, and cinema to gastronomy and sociography.
