The Library will be closed between the 23rd of December 2024 and the 1st of January 2025. Our library's services will be available from the 2nd of January 2025.

Due to the relocation of our external warehouse the books and doctoral dissertations stored there, as well as the entire stock of the library's periodicals, will be unavailable until the beginning of January 2025. Many of our books are still available for loan and current literature can be found on the open shelves.

Diversity and Variety – Selection of Taiwanese literary treasures poster exhibition opened on the 7th of November 2023 at the ELTE University Library and Archives.

The exhibition was officially unveiled by Dr. Kulcsár Szabó Ernőné Gombos Annamária, Director General of the ELTE University Library and Archives. In her opening speech, she expressed her gratitude to Mr. Ter-Hsing Cheng, Professor of Soochow University, Taiwan, the National Museum of Taiwanese Literature and the Taiwan Mandarin Learning Center for choosing the library as the venue for the exhibition. The Director of the National Museum of Taiwan Literature, Mr. Nikky Lin, sent a video message and the Taiwan Representative to Hungary, Mr. Shih-Chung Liu personally welcomed the guests.

The visitors were given a short guided tour of the poster exhibition, offering a glimpse of Taiwan's philosophy of life, history, gastronomy and soul. At the end of the programme, a guided tour of the library provided an insight into a slice of Hungarian culture and intellectual heritage.

The exhibition on Taiwanese literature is open until the 23rd of November 2023 in the lobby of the ELTE University Library and Archives. All visitors are welcome!
