The Korda Publishing House, founded by Judge Ferenc Xavér, a saintly Jesuit, was operated by the Society of the Daughters of the Heart of Jesus (now called the Society of the Heart of Jesus). He was one of the most significant book publishing companies between the two world wars, when he experienced the renewal of Hungarian Catholic life. From its founding in 1919 to the dissolution of the monastic orders in 1950, he produced a number of publications on spirituality, helping the family, and youth in his own printing press and distributed it in shops in many parts of the country.
